Additionally, the colors wear well with minimal settling and bleeding. ![]() The formulation is still lightweight despite being sticky and it has a sweet vanilla scent. Nevertheless, these glosses look very flattering on the lips, with the non-shimmery shades offering quite a bit of pigmentation as well. I'm not really a lip gloss person to begin as I hate how my hair always gets caught on my lips so the sticky finish really doesn't help with that. The finish is shiny but it's also quite sticky. The formulation is rather viscous and slightly difficult to spread on the lips. Packaged in a clear acrylic tube paired with a yellow to blue ombre cap adorned with raised, clear water droplet embossings, the H2O Gloss has a paddle-shaped doe foot applicator that's flattened on both sides. Also infused with extracts of algae and Tahitian gardenia, coconut oil, and vitamin E, the gloss promises to soften the lips while diminishing the look of fine lines. However, given the name and description of the product, it certainly feels a little misleading. I have no problem with that as the ingredient is a supposedly a great alternative to mineral oils. Interestingly, the first ingredient of the gloss is not water (which is actually the 14th ingredient), but a synthetic non-polar polymer called hydrogenated polyisobutene. The other good news about Zoya is that it contains no Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, or Camphor. Or go to and use their store locator, but call first since the salons/spas that are listed may not have the full product line. If you’re looking to buy it in a retail store, Ulta may be your best bet. It’s available at Ulta, Amazon, other online retailers, as well as nail salons and spas. In fact, I was thinking I probably could get away with one coat…but I gave it a second coat to be sure. It has a normal size brush, but the polish is thicker than some similarly priced brands. This is my first experience with Zoya, and it’s a real cut above. Friends who I saw today said it reminded them of a mermaid. But when I applied it last night, I saw that it is a true emerald. ![]() When I first received it, I thought it looked like a deep turquoise with more blue than green. My favorite product among those selected for me in this month’s bag was the Zoya nail polish in Giovanna. Since 2013 is marching right along, I’ve been trying to wear emerald more often.Įnter the October, Art of Beauty, ipsy bag. Just looking in my closet and in my jewelry box, I realized I have a lot of emerald. Pantone’s color of 2013 is emerald, and I have enjoyed experimenting with this shade more than the colors of previous years (orange, yellow). ![]()
